| Description | One informant described this lidded container as a ke waka, M that could be carrier on the head (leba ulun, T) or strung from the shoulder (leba, T) and said, 'In earlier days our grandparents used this basket to store clothes (kola/rabi, M) and to store tobacco for sale.' During Portuguese era tobacco was reportedly grown as a local crop in Hae Coni, Baguia Sub-district. 'Uluk liu avo sira us aba tau ropa (rabi/kola) no tobako ba fa’an'. |
