DescriptionThis style of na'a is made in Larisula, Baguia Sub-District and in Iliomar, Viqueque District. This was identified as an Iliomar model 'modelu husi Iliomar'. People use these baskets to carry personal effects, vegetables and fire wood from the gardens to the house and market. Informants specifically mentioned the use of these baskets for carrying cassava (ai farina, T), betelnut and food. The string was referred to as 'tali funu'. Often this style of basket is carried suspended form the forehead and hanging down on the back of the person carrying it (tutur ulun, T).
